  1. Use your own mainland China mobile number and valid real-name credentials. Do not borrow, rent, or purchase another person's account or identity.
  2. Follow the official Chinese site and the Lord of Mysteries page on TapTap for a current registration or reservation notice.
  3. Apply only through the channel named in that notice. In the Gray Fog Test, only players who received access and signed the confidentiality agreement could log in.
  4. Download only from the client link or verified store named in the current notice; the ended Gray Fog Test client is not current access.

As of August 21, 2026: China Open Beta is live, but the official announcements still do not describe a complete overseas eligibility or qualification process. Check the current official notice, not screenshots, group chats, or resellers.

  1. Reserve at least 80 GB of storage. That is the current official China Open Beta configuration figure; the June Gray Fog Test used the same baseline. Installed size can still change with updates, so re-check the official listing before downloading.
  2. For iOS, check the China App Store requirement. A China-region iOS download requires access to the China App Store with a China-region Apple ID. This is a storefront requirement only; this guide does not provide registration or bypass instructions.
  3. Confirm real-name eligibility before you try to log in. Review the real-name verification explanation and use only your own valid credentials. Do not leave this check until after a client download finishes.
